Let us check whether somebody is looking for it. Start with a photograph - or look at the notices nearby.
If you have found an animal
Calmly, and without chasing - most lost animals are frightened, even the tamest ones.
- Do not chase. Sit down, turn away, let them come to you.
- Water, yes. Food, carefully: unfamiliar food can harm them, especially if they are injured.
- Look at the collar: there may be a tag with a code, or an address.
- Have the chip read - at a vet or a shelter it is free and takes a minute.
- Do not take them far. They are being looked for where they went missing.
- Write here where you saw them. No account needed, and your telephone is not required.
